Just minutes from downtown Boise and next to the Boise River the Trailwinds apartments is a well situated workforce housing project.  The project comes with multiple nearby amenities including the Boise greenbelt, a charter school, the boys and girls club, a city park, and multiple local businesses.  This project is part of a much larger redevelopment project, Parkway Station, consisting of multiple city blocks in Garden City, ID.  Opened in 2015, Trailwinds is a 68,000sf apartment building spread out over three floors.  Galena secured low-income housing tax credits to help with the development of the site to construct units for low- and moderate-income residents.  Trailwinds consists of 64 units of studio, one bedroom, and two-bedroom units.  Each unit comes equipped with central heat/AC, fully equipped kitchens, and washer and dryers.  The apartment complex has a fully furnished exercise center, an outdoor playground, a computer center, and an outdoor kitchen and dining area. The project has been a success with a waiting list existing for units prior to completion.
